With Momen revived and a wealth of information provided to the Duke, we head out of the sauna to discuss Momen’s status. Momen tells us that we need to go back to Nerwhora so that we can get his backup copy of his spellbook, and hopefully he can update it to a reasonable state. Momen and Tittlin bicker back and forth a bit as Tittlin tries to offload a bunch of random garbage on to Momen.
Tittlin asks the Duke to get his men to retrieve the Immovable Rod for us so that we can head straight to Nerwora instead of detouring back to Baron Dorthana’s. I offer to call up Rafnar again to teleport us to Wustus but Momen sternly turns down the offer, encouraging us to travel by rail instead. We spend a bit of time shopping around Eikenalden to replenish some of our supplies before heading off to Larhammer to catch a train to Coltoise.
While waiting for our train, Tittlin opts to get a sick tattoo of the Mark of the Spider at Larhammer Inks. We wait with him while he squirms and groans, and at the end are presented with the gorgeous design of an Orb-weaver straddling his left leg like a stripper pole. We head off to catch our train to Coltoise.
It’s a very apparent shift in atmosphere - we’re greeted with hot air, dust, and loud mining noises as we roll in. We make our way to an inn to duck out of the unpleasant air and head to bed. In the morning, we head over to the Rock & Stone and I banter with the proprietor, Torunn Foehammer, for a bit. Thankfully she has the Siderite in stock that I need to upgrade my Circlet of Blasting.
Momen has his math face on as he stares at the stack of mithril ingots and mumbles some calculations under his breath about armour, surface area, and weight.
